Student  Services

Checking the Tides

All Rising Tides services start with an initial parent consultation. During this in-person or virtual meeting, you will have the opportunity to discuss your family’s needs, challenges, and goals. Taking a collaborative approach, we will create a plan forward by helping to prioritize goal areas, services, and support.

Schedule Consultation w/Sara →

Before individual student services begin, Rising Tides will connect with your child for 45-60 minutes to get to know them. This time will be an opportunity for Rising Tides to get to know your child’s unique interest and knowledge through a combination of get-to-know-you games and activities along with some foundational assessment work.

Academic Services

Rising Tides has openings to work 1:1 with PK-6th grade clients for Orton-Gillingham-based reading instruction both virtually and in person. In these individual sessions, your child will learn the necessary skills to build their foundational reading skills through practice in phonological awareness, decoding and encoding in isolation and connected text while building their love of reading through interest-based, multisensory approaches. These confidence-building sessions will foster self-esteem both in and out of the classroom.

Academic Achievement Testing

Would you like to know exactly where your child is in their comprehensive listening, reading, writing, and math skills? Not sure if your young one is on track? The WIAT-4 is a recently updated standardized assessment tool that will answer these questions. With the new phonemic proficiency subtest, you will know if your young reader has what it takes to go to the next level of reading. Book your appointment now to gain academic clarity!

Navigating Diagnostics

Neuropsychological test reports can be confusing and overwhelming. RTES is here as an ally to parents, therapists, and schools to help prioritize and find the resources needed to help children with learning disabilities.
